Health Promotion

The mission of CARECEN’s Health Promotion Program is to preserve the health of Latino immigrants by empowering community members with the knowledge and self-confidence to prevent and manage two serious health issues — obesity, and the closely related problem of diabetes, and oral disease — and by engaging individuals in holding government and corporations accountable for health disparities.
